Nuaa Designs
We are a mother-daughter duo and we began our printing journey with nuaa in 2013 with our master-printer Mr. Venkatesh. With nuaa, we combined our love for block printing by hand: a centuries-old craft and the saree which is the oldest known surviving piece of clothing in the world.
Our textile canvas at nuaa blends various traditional hues and motifs with contemporary tastes. Inspired from Indian visual arts like Mithila, Warli, Kalamkari, Mughal and Gond, our designs include abstract, floral and everyday patterns for our motifs and patterns.Over the years we have grown from printing on sarees to include kids-wear under “bhutkun” and our home-products under “ghor”.
